This trip leads you travel to all outstanding tourist spots in the country, from Hanoi capital in the North to the delta of Mekong River in the South with diversified landscapes along our way. The tour covers all 5 interesting world heritages in Vietnam: Halong Bay, Phong Nha, Hue, My Son & Hoi An. You will have in depth Vietnamese experience and explore all the marvels throughout Vietnam, as well as admire the colors and life from the bustled cities to the quiet rural villages…

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi - Arrival

Arriving at Noi Bai International Airport of Hanoi Capital. Drive through the fertile Red River Delta to reach your hotel in Hanoi city. Free time and overnight.

Day 2 Hanoi

Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Quarter including the Mausoleum, House-on-stilts, Museum called by his name. Visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) – the first university in Vietnam. Visit West Lake, and Tan Quoc Pagoda. View the Gothic stlye of Central Catholic Church and Hanoi Opera under shadow trees. The image of new and old buildings interposing with high shadow trees is a feature easiest to recognize in Hanoi and in many cities of Vietnam. Hob on a cyclo to petrol round the exciting Old Quarter of Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake – the heart of the city. Enjoy Water Puppet Show – Vietnamese traditional art evening.

Day 3 Hanoi - Ninh Binh

Drive southward to Ninh Binh town to visit unspoiled villages, immense rice fields in the center of the Red River Delta. Visit relics of Hoa Lu ancient Kingdom (Dinh dynasty in the 10th century). Get on a small boat to row along the small canal in the rice field to visit Tam Coc Caves considered as “Halong Bay on land”. Continue to visit Bich Dong Temple. In the afternoon, take a short bicycle tour around the village or drive to get on a small boat to travel along Kenh Ga canal to enjoy the beautiful landscape surroundings, and visit fish floating village. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 4 Ninh Binh - Halong - Junk Cruise

Transfer group to Halong city to visit one of Wonder of the world: Ha Long Bay. 12:00 Get on a Junk cruise to take a Ha Long Bay cruise over 2,000 islands that just our of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. Boarding the Junk, a welcome drink is served before sitting down to a sumptuous seafood lunch in the dining room. We cruise through the magnificent bay of Ha Long that’s declared a World Heritage Site in 1994. There is opportunity to explore some of the beautiful and awesome grottoes with our guide on board. In the evening, dinner will be served on boat, before settling into our comfortable cabins for the night.

Day 5 Halong - Bac Ninh - Dong Hoi

Enjoy our last morning on board to admire the spectacular view of the bay. Lunch is served on board as we cruise slowly back to the harbor, where we will check out and transferred to Bac Ninh. Visit Dau Pagoda and But Thap Pagoda and enjoy traveling by buffalo-cart along village path to see local life activities. Evening transfer Railway Station for night train to Dong Hoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 6 Dong Hoi - Phong Nha & Thien Duong Caves

Morning arrive in Dong Hoi, Transfer to Phong Nha (50 km) by the famous Hochiminh Trail. On arrival you will take a boat trip along Son River to Phong Nha cave, along the river you will see local daily life on the river: children bathing, women wasing clothes, buffalos runing, boat rowing to fish and fish feeding, etc. Continue by boat to the longest underground river on the world, you will visit the wet caves including Bi Ky caves and the Tien Grotos with thousands of beautiful shapes. Aftrenoon excursion to visit the great Thien Duong caves which was newly discovered. Located in the World Natural Heritage of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Thien Duong (Heaven or Paradise) Cave is an attractive destination thanks to its magical and mysterious formations. The 31-kilometre cave, situated in the middle of a limestone mountain range, is the longest dry cave in Asia. Its width ranges from 30 to 150 meters, with an average height of around 60 meters. Late afternoon return to Dong Hoi for overnight.

Day 7 Dong Hoi - Hue - Thuy Bieu Village

Morning transfer to Hue (185 km) via Dong Ha town, Hien Luong and Ben Hai River (the historic area in American war). Afternoon we take bicycle tour to Thuy Bieu Village that is famous for pomelo trees and we take a bicycle ride on quiet path around the village. Enjoy a nice walking to visit many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside. We can stop at the handicraft village making lotus in paper or incense-sticks. Overnight in Hue.

Day 8 Hue

Spend the whole day to visit one of World’s Heritage in Hue city – the former Kingdom of the 143 year Nguyen Dynasty. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Royal Thien Mu pagoda then we visit Imperial Citadel – the most important part of Hue city, and Dong Ba market. Afternoon visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh King’s Mausoleums and a village along the river bank making conical hats. Enjoy Hue’s folk songs in the evening on a boat along Perfume River. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9 Hue - Danang - Hoi An

Morning drive to Hoi An via the imposing Hai Van mountain pass, a part of Truong Son mountain range running down to the sea to cut in the high way. Arrive in Danang we visit Cham Museum, the best collection of splendid Champa Civilization in 17th century. Then visit Marble Mountains on the way to Hoi An.  Afternoon visit Hoi An ancient town – another World’s Heritage site of a forgotten sea port from the 17th century. Visit the Chinese temple, Japanese bridge and an ancient house of mixing style from Vietnam, China and Japan. Here you can buy some small ancient ceramic gifts as souvenir here with surprising price. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10 Hoi An - My Son & Tra Que Culinary Village

Morning we bike to Tra Que, a famous vegetable village with a rich soil and a wide variety of vegetables and herbs (3km, within 15 minutes). The host welcomes you with a special soft drink or local tea . After, take a short walk around the vegetable garden to see farmers’ working. After that we begin to learn how to cook local delicacies including: Banh xeo (fried rice cake), Cha Gio Tam Huu (Tam Huu spring roll), Cha Gio Tra Que (Tra Que spring roll), etc. After cooking, enjoy the foods cooked by yourself. In the afternoon we visit another World’s Heritage in the southwest of Danang – My Son Hollyland – the religious center of powerful Champa Kingdom from 6th to 16th century, with relics of temples, steles and carving statues showing a thriving life of people here at one time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11 Hoi An - Danang - Hochiminh City

Transfer to airport for morning flight to Hochiminh City VN 113 at 08:50 – 10:10. In the afternoon, we visit the most typical places in the city: Notre Dame Cathedral, Central post office, War Museum, Jade Emperor Pogoda. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 12 Hochiminh City - Cu Chi & China town

Morning drive to visit the Cu Chi underground tunnels network in the suburb of Hochiminh City – the most famous battle-fields during Vietnam war with over 200 km long tunnels. Lunch then back to Saigon. Afternoon we explore the China town and isit Thien Hau temple. Overnight in Hociminh City.

Day 13 Hochiminh City - My Tho - Ben Tre - CanTho

Morning we drive to My Tho town (80 km). Here we take a boat trip on Mekong River to get to the other side (Ben Tre land).  Sight-seeing fish farms, floating fish market along the Dragon island on the way. Through Xep canal in Ben Tre (land of coconuts) to See coconut collection set and how the locals make handicrafts from coconut trunk and shell. Enjoy seasonal fruits and listening to traditional music. Take the horse-cart on village path and stop at Mr Nam Ngo orchard, taste honey with tea or wine. See bees-breeding in wooden boxes under longans tree. Take rowing-boat along water palm creek. Lunch on an islet. Boat to see local people make coconut candy, taste candy (Special products of Ben Tre  province), then back to pier. Continue drivng to Can Tho city, the central city of Mekong Delta Provinces. Visit a Khmer pagoda. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 14 Can Tho - Hochiminh City - Departure

Boat trip in early morning on Lower Branch of Mekong River to visit Cai Rang floating market and enjoy life activities of local people on the river. The boat stops at a garden house on the riverside to enjoy fresh fruits. Rejoin the car at Ninh Kieu pier then Rejoin the car and driving back to Hochiminh City. Transfer to airport for departure flight.
