Tour Itinerary

Day 1 HANOI - ARRIVAL

Water Puppets 2Welcome you at Noi Bai International Airport of Ha Noi capital. On the way to the downtown, we see the views of farmers working in the rice fields and villages in the authentic suburb of Hanoi.  Relax at your comfortable hotel. We enjoy our welcome dinner with Vietnamese typical foods. Enjoy a Vietnam traditional art: Water – Puppet Show in the evening. Night in Hanoi.

Day 2 HANOI CITY TOUR

Hà Nội 4The whole day we visit the peaceful capital decorated by tree lines along streets. Joint the stream of people to visit the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (Closed on Monday), and his wooden house in a respect manner towards the greatest leader of the country. Visit the Van Mieu Temple (Temple of Literature) – The first university of Vietnam built in 11th century. Get to learn Vietnam history and culture at Fine Art and historical museum. View the Gothic style of Central Catholic Church and Hanoi Opera under shadow trees. Go round the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake on a cyclo like a Lord to view the most exciting part of Hanoi. Night in Hanoi.

Day 3 HANOI - HALONG BAY

highlight-vietnam-9_2Morning transfer to Halong (170 km) to board on a nice junk cruise to take a Ha Long Bay cruise over 2,000 islands that just out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. Boarding the Junk, a welcome drink is served before sitting down to a sumptuous seafood lunch in the dining room. We cruise through the magnificent bay of Ha Long that’s declared a World Heritage Site in 1994. There is opportunity to explore some of the beautiful and awesome grottoes with our guide on board. In the evening, dinner will be served on boat, after which we can experiment with some night fishing, before settling into our comfortable cabins. Overnight on the magnificent Halong Bay.

Day 4 HALONG BAY - HANOI

Hạ Long 52Enjoy our last morning on board of the junk cruise to admire the spectacular view of the bay. Disembark the junk at 11:30 and drive back to Hanoi. On the way stop to visit Dong Trieu ceramic village. Free time. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5 HA NOI - DONG HOI

dongthienduongTake a morning flight to Dong Hoi VN 8591 at 07:45 – 09:15. Pick up and transfer to Phong Nha – Ke Bang which is a newly recognized world heritage at the Truong Son grandiose mountain range, as the longest underground river in the world. Visit a newly discovered cave named Thien Duong (Paradise cave). Discover the mystery of the prehistoric people lived here thousands years ago. Study the Ho Chi Minh legendary trail with its unbelievable ways of transferring the soldiers and weapons from North to South Vietnam in American war. Visit the unspoiled immense tropical forests in the area. Night in Dong Hoi town.

Day 6 DONG HOI - HUE

khai-dinh-tomb-06Drive Southward to Hue (180 km). Visit the de-military zone in the War at the 17th parallel (Ben Hai River) with famous Macnamara’s electronic fence between North and South Vietnam. Arrive in Hue we visit the Mausoleums of King Tu Duc and Khai Dinh at the outskirt of the city. Evening enjoy Hue traditional music (Ca Hue). Night in Hue.

Day 7 HUE - HOI AN

Entrance of Citadel, HueMorning we visit the beautiful city of the Hue Old Capital that is a precious world heritage. Boat trip along the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu royal pagoda and Imperial Citadel of The King Nguyen dynasty. Shopping at the central Dong Ba market. Afternoon drive to Danang city through the grandiose Hai Van mountain pass running 30 km along the East Sea to visit Cham Museum, the biggest collection on the history and culture of the Cham Pa Kingdom which ended at the 16th century. Forward to Hoi An. Night in Hoi An.

Day 8 HOI AN - DANANG - HOCHIMINH CITY

In Hoi An we study the remained relics of the ancient sea port: Chinese Phuc Kien temple, a Vietnamese old house with the mixed style: Vietnam, China and Japan. Forward to Chua Cau temple on the Japanese bridge, and see the Hoian museum. Transfer back to Danag. Visit a stone carving village at the foot of Marble Mountain on the way. Continue to Danang Airport to fly to animated Ho Chi Minh city in the south Vietnam. Visit famous French buildings in the city center: City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office. Night in HCMC.

Day 9 HOCHIMINH CITY – CU CHI UNDERGROUND TUNNELS

Saigon-River-1_2Drive to visit Cu Chi Underground Tunnels – the most famous battlefields in Vietnam War, at the Cu Chi suburb district. Now it is a favourite tourist site with its 200 km – long tunnels and its’ brave guerrillas. These tunnels and underground villages were built to provide a safe haven for the people of Cu Chi in the war. Go sightseeing at Reunification (Independent) Palace, War Museum, Chinatown and Chinese Thien Hau Temple. Dinner on a floating restaurant cruising along Sai Gon river. Night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10 HOCHIMINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA – DEPARTURE

ben-tre-2_2We go to the south to visit My Tho Town in Tien Giang Province, one of 12 rice basket fertile provinces in the Mekong Delta. Boat trip on Tien Giang river – a great branch of the immense Mekong River to visit farmers’ houses and gardens. Visit bee-raising farm, coconut-candy enterprise. Lunch at an islet on the river. Drive back to HCMC. Free at leisure until transfer to Tan San Nhat international airport for your departure flight. End of the tour.

    NOTE:

    * The prices are based on twin-sharing room, any person who wants to stay in single room must pay single room surcharge as indicated in the tariff (except for group 1 person, single room charge already included).

    * In Vietnam now, it is difficult to book rooms at 5 star hotels in the big cities. So if we do not book rooms long time in advance – around 6 months in advance, hotels often request an extra charge from the normal price (contracted price) before confirm our room-booking.
