Tour Itinerary

Arrive in Luang Prabang in the early afternoon, your local tour guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, overnight in Luang Prabang.

Meals included: No Meal


If you want to get up very early, you can witness the monks’ daily ritual as they walk through the city in their saffron robes to receive the alms of those who love to donate, but this will encourage a positive rebirth. Return to the hotel for breakfast to be prepared for the upcoming city tour: visit Wat Visoun, Wat Khili and Wat Mai, the city’s most famous temples, the National Museum and Phou Si Market. Here you can see a wide range of articles of all kinds, such as dried buffalo skin, different teas, chickens, vegetables and fruits and also weavers of the mountain tribes. Later, visit some hill tribe villages in the area, and in the late afternoon climb Mount PhouSi with over 300 steps to the golden stupa on top. From here you have an incredible view of the Mekong valley and the city, and experience an impressive sunset. When you arrive back in the streets of the city, the bustling night market has already opened its doors, where you can see handiwork of hill tribes, T – shirts, and other souvenirs, and, of course, buy them. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Today, visit Wat Sene, the city’s oldest temple and Wat Xiengthong with its deep-drawn roofs, a typical example of Laotian temple architecture. Then, take a boat ride up the Mekong River to the mystical caves of Pak Ou, grafted with thousands of Buddha statues in all shapes and sizes. On the way, a short stop in the village of Ban Xanghai to watch the distillation of the famous rice wine. On the way back you will also see the villages of Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, two well-known craft villages. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

In the morning, take a trip to the famous KuangSi waterfalls, take a dip in the pools on various levels, or climb the summit, and on the way back, you will see Ban Phanom, a well-known weaving village of H’Mong. Transfer to Vang Vieng (185 km, 4 o’clock). Transfer to the hotel, overnight in Vang Vieng.

In the morning visit Tham Chang Cave. Then transfer to Vientiane (154 km, 3 clock). Stop at Nam Ngum Lake for lunch and then take a boat trip on the lake. Transfer to Vientiane, the capital of the country. Transfer to the hotel, overnight in Vientiane.

You will visit the most beautiful and interesting squares of the city, starting at Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, with thousands of miniature Buddha houses. Continue to the former royal temple Wat Prakeo, originally the home of the Emerald Buddha, now in Bangkok. Then you will see the holy Stupa That Luang, the Laotian Victory Monument. In the afternoon, make a trip to the Buddha Park about 30 km outside the city. It was built by a monk some 500 years ago, a collection of religious figures and sculptures. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of the tour.
