Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival Wattay airport, you will meet the guide and driver waiting for you to transfer to your hotel. Afterward We’ll explore some of the best sights including the Victory Gate (Arc de Triomphe), the wat Sisaket, and the impressive That Luang Stupa, the country’s most important monument. Also visit the ‘morning market’ where you can wander around and buy silver, silk or other items you like to take back home. In the evening you can walk along the path beside the Mekong at the sunset is always popular for travelers and locals alike. Overnight in Vientiane.

Breakfast at hotel, we’ll have a scenic drive to Vang Vieng by road No. 10 to Nam Ngum Lake (90 km N), with hundreds of small islands. We en route stop to visit a cottage-salt factory, where natural salt are extracted at Ban Bor village. After arriving at Nam Ngum Lake by noon, we enjoy our Lao food lunch at a restaurant by the Nam Ngum Lake. After lunch taking a boat ride about 1 hour for panoramic view around small islands. We continue our journey and will be arriving Vang Vieng late afternoon. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

After breakfast, we’ll visit Tham Chang caves and proceed to Vang Vieng Organic Farm, we enjoy an Organic LUNCH at Vang Vieng Organic Farm and see the activities at Vang Vieng Organic Farm ( Farm / Plantation / Animal Feeding / Bio Gas / Worm Farming, etc. ) We’ll return to the town and free at leisure. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

An early morning start to drive to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The road conditions are very pool; how ever the unequalled scenery with a mixture of steep terraced fields and hill tribe villages make for an interesting journey. On arrival in Luang Prabang, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham. We then climb up to the top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of sacred, gilded stupa and a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

With a traditional boat ride up the Mekong to 8:30 and enjoy the refreshments served on board . Admire the thousands of golden Buddha Jamming , which were laid down by the faithful in the sacred Pak Ou Caves . Take some time to explore the caves . Further upstream you go to the Khmu lodge, where you will arrive around noon. Once you have your big tent covered with a modern bathroom, you can enjoy a freshly prepared lunch in an airy Sala . You can then decide whether you prefer to relax on the porch or if you wish to participate in the traditional activities of Khamu itself :

– Rice harvest in the surrounding rice fields

– Gold washing in the Mekong ( January-June )

– Search for medicinal plants in the jungle            

– Hike through the forest to the waterfalls

– Traditional fishing methods

Visit local village –

– Archery Competition

For the Khamu dinner is a feast. Enjoy the atmosphere and experience a completely different culture , before retiring to your tent. Overnight in the Khmu lodge.

After breakfast take the boat and cruise down to Luang Prabang and transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of the tour.
