Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Chau Doc - Phnom Penh

Morning transfer to the port to take the Victoria speed boat to Phnom Penh (07.00 – 12.00). Entry via the Vinh Xuong gate to Cambodia. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh you will be met by a guide and escorted to the hotel. In the afternoon you will visit Wat Phnom, the Independence Monument and go shopping on the central market. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2 Phnom Penh

Breakfast at hotel, then a visit to the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant, and in the afternoon visit to the Tuol Sleng Museum of war crimes, and the death fields of Cheung Ek. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 3 Phnom Penh - Siem Reap by overland

After breakfast, transfer by car to Siem Reap (without guide). In the evening drive to the Bakheng Mountain to enjoy the sunset over the ruins of Angkor. After returning to town dinner in a restaurant with traditional Apsara dance show. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4 Siem Reap (Angkor)

After breakfast, visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk) the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century) and visit Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), Baphun temple,  the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch will be at local restaurant. In afternoon, We will visit the earliest temples of Angkor area the Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravaraman I (reigned 877-89), are among the earliest large, permanent temples built by the Khmer classical art. Preah Ko, erected by Indavaraman I in the late 9th century and dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880- Bakhong, the largest and the most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance Lolei, the four brick towers are replicas of the ones at Preah Kho, built on an islet in the center of large reservoir by Yasovarman I the founder of the first city of Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5 Siem Reap (Angkor)

In the morning visit Banteay Srei, the famous citadel of the women, about 32 km outside the city, a temple complex with gorgeous filigree ornaments return to the city, go see the famous Ta Prohm temple, overgrown almost entirely from the massive roots of a giant fig tree , and the rest of the time is the visit of the 7th Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat dedicated. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 6 Siem Reap - Tonle Sap - Departure

Morning transfer to the Tonle Sap Lake and Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village” move from place to place following water levels and current. Lunch will be at local restaurant.  Afternoon, Visit Les Artisans D’ Angkor and see their stone and wood carving workshops where the artisans are taught to use traditional Khmer techniques. Next visit the Old Market where you can see the fresh local produce being sold as well as browse the souvenir stalls. until transfer to airport for your departure flight. End of the tour.
